SLIDING GLASS DOOR PARTS, EXPLAINED

Most sliding door problems come down to four parts: the rollers underneath, the track they ride on, the handle set, and the lock and keeper that latch it. All four are replaceable without replacing the door — match the part, swap it, and the door rolls like new.

Match a roller

Pull the door and check three things: wheel diameter, wheel material (steel or nylon), and the bracket shape. The old roller is the best spec sheet — measure it, or photograph it next to a tape measure and send it to the desk. We confirm fit before you pay.

Handles & locks

Handle sets are matched by hole spacing — measure center-to-center between the mounting holes. Mortise locks and keepers are matched by the lock case shape and latch style. Both are stocked in the common patterns used across Florida doors.

Tracks & long parts

Track caps cover a worn track without pulling the frame. Anything 8 ft or longer does not ship parcel — pick it up at the Fort Lauderdale counter or add it to your cart and we come back with a freight number.
